About Yamhill County Court Records

Court records in Yamhill County are split between Oregon Judicial Department systems, the Yamhill County Circuit Court Records Department, the Yamhill County Clerk, and law-enforcement offices. Finding the right custodian matters because the County Clerk does not provide court services. We built this site to sort court case records, recorded county documents, sheriff records, and state public-record rules into a clearer local reference.

Why We Built This Site

Oregon gives the public a right to inspect public records unless an exemption applies, including the access framework in ORS 192.314. In Yamhill County, the harder step is identifying the office that actually holds the record. Circuit Court case files are handled by the Oregon Judicial Department and the Yamhill County Circuit Court Records Department in McMinnville. The Yamhill County Clerk is a separate county office for recording, elections, marriage licensing, domestic partnerships, passports, Board of Commissioners records, and other non-court records. Sheriff records and jail records follow their own request channels.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the Yamhill County Circuit Court, the Oregon Judicial Department, the Yamhill County Clerk, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, court hour, or public-record procedure listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
